Where is the Résidence ?

The Résidence is situated just outside the village of Lumio, between Calvi and L’Ile Rousse, 200m from the sea. When arriving from Bastia/L’Ile Rousse, stay on the main road through Lumio and at the junction with the Pharmacie du Golfe, turn immediately right towards the sea/Plage d’Arinella. After 3 kilometres, you will find the Résidence on your right, just before the single railway line. When arriving from the direction of Calvi, at the entrance of Lumio, going uphill, turn left at the junction with the Pharmacie and proceed as above.

How to get to the residence from mainland ?

You can get to the residence by the airlines that serve Calvi Sainte-Catherine Airport (Air France, Air Corsica). Bastia airport can also be a viable solution to benefit from the airline's attractive fares Volotea.

From which date is it possible to make a reservation ?

It is possible to put an option on a stay at Arinella at any time up until mid-November when the reservations for the following year open. At this time, we will contact you via email to let you know that you can confirm your stay or make a completely new booking.

How to make a booking ?

Your booking at Residence Arinella can be made directly through our website by clicking on « Booking », (availability is shown in real time, with secure payment). You can also book by email via  or by telephone on +33 (0)495 60 60 60. You will receive a booking form to fill in and return with your chosen method of payment.

Are there any special offers ?

To get the best prices and the best choice of apartments, we recommend that you book as early as possible since, for example, the number of apartments with a sea view is limited and our regular customers do book from one year to the next, sometimes a year in advance. Otherwise, consider registering to be on our mailing list and follow us on Facebook and Instagram so that you will hear of our news and special offers in real time. We also publish our special offers on this website.

Are there any registration fees ?

There are no registration fees.

What does the price include ?

The price shown is the inclusive price. It includes the rental of the apartment equipped with reversible air-conditioning, the bed linen with a weekly change, water/electricity, WIFI access, the television, and free use of the professional barbecues in the garden and tennis court.

Is there a safe in the apartment ?

Yes, all of the apartments are equipped with a safe.

Are the apartments air-conditioned ?

Yes, all the apartments are equipped with reversible air-conditioning.

Are there any additional costs to add ?

A breakage deposit must be paid when you collect the keys. This is 300€ /apartment payable by credit card. Your deposit will be returned to you on your departure day so long as there is no damage or other outstanding costs (missing or broken items, cleaning not done properly, lost keys...).
The tourist tax must also be paid. This is a local tax which we pay back to the local authority. It costs 1.35 € per person, per day from the age of 18.

Do we have to stay for the minimum of a week ?

In high season, the stays are from Saturday to Saturday, or from Sunday to Sunday (minimum 7 nights).
In low season (from 01.04.23 to 15.07.23 and from 15.09.23 to 04.11.23), and dependent on availability, it is possible to arrive on any day of the week (staying for 7, 8, 9 nights or more) or to stay for shorter breaks (3 nights minimum).

How do I pay for my reservation ?

At the time of making your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total cost is required to confirm the reservation. This is debited from your card once you make the reservation on-line. The remaining balance is due one month before your arrival date.

What payment methods do you accept ?

Payment methods accepted for both deposit and final payment are credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard), or bank transfer. Is it possible to pay for the cost of the booking by bank transfer when we make the booking online ?

As soon as you make an online booking, the deposit is automatically taken from your credit/debit card. Once you have made the booking, you will receive a booking form by email to complete and return to us, where you can indicate if you wish to pay the balance with another card or by international bank transfer.

At the time of booking, can I choose where my apartment is located ?

Special requests (for example: preference for ground or first floor) should be made to us at the time of booking; we will do our best to fulfil them but this cannot be guaranteed.

Should I take out insurance in case of cancellation ?

Residence Arinella recommends that you take out your own travel insurance. Often, if you are paying by credit card this may be included, but you would need to check with your Bank.

How can I change or cancel my reservation ?

If you have made an online booking, you can change or cancel your reservation via our website. You just need to click on the link in your booking. Any cancellation request must also be made to us in writing by email, post or fax. The date we receive your communication will be determined as the date of cancellation. What are the charges if I have to cancel my reservation ?

If you cancel more than 30 days before the start of your stay, we keep a 50€ cancellation fee. You will therefore receive a refund of your total payment less the cancellation fee.
If you cancel later, we keep the following percentage:

  • Between 30 and 21 days before your arrival date : 30% of your total cost
  • Between 20 and 8 days before your arrival date : 50% of your total cost
  • Between 7 days and your arrival date : 100% of your total cost
  • In case of no-show : 100% of your total cost

If I have to cut short my stay, will I be refunded any money ?

With the exception of the tourist tax, we are unable to make a refund as it is unlikely we will be able to re-let your apartment. If you have taken out travel insurance, this should cover your costs.

How to receive a certificate of stay or a paid invoice for my stay ?

You can retrieve the invoice during your stay but just ask us by phone or email, we will send you the desired document by mail or by post as soon as possible.

Are animals accepted at the Residence ?

Animals under 5kg are accepted as long as you let us know about them at the time of booking, and subject to our confirmation. If you turn up with a pet without prior warning, the local Manager may refuse you entry, even if you have already paid. You must be in possession of your pet’s vaccination records/passport.

How much does it cost to bring a pet ?

A charge of 43€ per animal and per stay will be made in addition to the cost of the final cleaning, depending on the apartment type. Only one pet is allowed in each accommodation.

There is no cleaning charge if you leave the accommodation as you found it on your arrival. However, if you do not do the cleaning, or if you are departing early (before the Reception opens at 8am) the cleaning charge is obligatory : 44€/apartment (Type 100) 48/apartment (Types 101 and 102). 54€/apartment (types 103 and 104). We ask you to kindly empty your bin (recycling obligatory) in the containers provided, to do the washing-up and to empty the dishwasher.There is no cleaning charge if you leave the accommodation as you found it on your arrival. Is there a Wifi connection ?

There is a free WiFi connection in each apartment. You will be given a password by the Reception on your arrival day in order to be able to connect to this. Is the linen provided ?

Bed linen is provided, with a change per week if you are staying for longer than a week. What equipment is supplied in the apartments ?

All of our apartments are equipped and ready to live-in. This comprises in general, of crockery and kitchen equipment, adequate to prepare a basic meal (fridge, induction hob with 2 rings), plus blankets and pillows. What equipment does the kitchen have ?

All the kitchens are reasonably equipped with the necessary crockery, cooking utensils, and electrical items (fridge,induction hob, microwave, kettle, filter coffee machine,toaster,nespresso machine.). Some apartments have a dishwasher.
